Host18 from NYC

Photo from hosteighteen.com
This is Host18 from Brooklyn NYC. These are some of the cool photos from his website. And a few quotes from an interview BombingScience did with Host18.

BombingScience: I can see through Flickr that you painted at some interesting spots like an abandoned theatre. How do you discover those places, do you keep them secret or do you share them with friends?

Host18: I have painted a few very interesting abandoned locations in the past year or so. The photographer FuzzyLogikz has provided some of these spots and she keeps them super secret.

Dumpster lady in New York Times

Photo by Rob Bennett for The New York Times
C. Finley, the woman who likes to wallpaper dumpsters, was featured in a short article on nytimes.com.

a small crowd had gathered on the Bowery, near the New Museum, where three young women were gamely wallpapering a Dumpster in an elegant blue-and-white floral. A second Dumpster, covered in a green William Morris pattern and stuffed with a Christmas tree, had been finished elsewhere and rolled to the curb next to it.

Vandalog – The Faith of Graffiti giveaway

Vandalog has decided to giveaway two copies of the re-released “The Faith of Graffiti.” Read about it on the site.

When it was first published in 1974, The Faith of Graffiti was the first book to take a serious look at graffiti. In 1974, Jon Naar’s photos and Norman Mailer’s essay gave the graffiti movement some mainstream legitimacy, as Mailer was one of the first to call writers artists.

All City Writers lille boganmeldelse

All City Writers Cover

All City Writers

410 full color pages, 33cm X 48cm – portrait size, coated and uncoated papers, hard cover, more
than 250 writers involved, 1230 pictures, 620 articles, 50 infographics, fully English language
